Guillermo del toro filmara una nueva adaptación de la ya muy reconocida historia de pinocho, el ganador de múltiples premios a nivel mundial de la mano de una de las compañías de entretenimiento de paga más grandes NETFLIX será una cinta animada en un formato de musical.
El ganador del óscar Guillermo del toro señalo que para el representaba un verdadero reto ya que nada avía influido más su vida y en su trabajo que la animación destacando que con ningún personaje de la animación contaba con cierto apego como con pinocho, comento lo siguiente en un comunicado
📷Desde que tengo memoria he querido hacer esta película. Después de la increíble experiencia que hemos tenido con Trollhunters, estoy agradecido de que el talentoso equipo de Netflix me esté brindando la oportunidad de mi vida para presentar a la audiencia de todas partes mi versión de este extraño títere convertido en un niño de verdad.

El cineasta había manifestado su deseo de hacer una historia como esta en el formato de animación, pero ninguna casa productora se había involucrado hasta que llego NETFLIX el cual lo apoyo en el proyecto, el cineasta después de 25 años realiza de nuevo una cinta animada.
